Abstract

This proposal recommends expanding eligibility for the Monthly Exclusive Raffle by transitioning the requirement from “A Rank Staker” to holders of a new "Elite CARVer on-chain badge". This adjustment will include both high-value stakers and Node operators, reinforcing inclusivity while preserving merit-based access.

Motivation

Currently, only users who stake at least 1,000 $CARV for 180+ days (A Rank) can access the Monthly Exclusive Raffle. While this rewards long-term commitment, it excludes Node holders who contribute significantly to network decentralization and governance via veCARV. Community conversations have surfaced strong interest in recognizing Node holders’ value.

Rationale

Node holders receive veCARV and help secure the network, just like A Rank stakers who stake $CARV to receive veCARV(s) thereby contributing to the long term sustainability of CARV. Since both contribute meaningfully to governance, expanding eligibility improves fairness while still rewarding serious commitment. Additionally, an on-chain badge standardizes and transparently tracks raffle eligibility beyond Discord role logic.

Specifications

• Create a new on-chain badge: Elite CARVer
• Eligibility to mint:
  • Users holding A Rank (≥1,000 $CARV staked for ≥180 days)
  • OR verified Node holders
• Update Monthly Exclusive Raffle requirement:
  • Replace A Rank requirement with Elite CARVer badge
• The existing Elite CARVer Discord role will remain unchanged.

Steps to Implement

1. Deploy the Elite CARVer badge on CARV Play
2. Enable minting for eligible users via on-chain verification (Elite Role on discord =A Rank Stakers or Node Holder)
3. Update backend logic of Monthly Raffle to check for Elite CARVer badge instead of A Rank badge
4. Communicate the transition to the community across Discord, Twitter, and Telegram
